Created by Shape for the Sony Alpha 7 mKii range of cameras: A7S II, A7R II, A7II - and has easy access to control buttons, battery compartment and side outputs. In other words, battery and memory card compartments as well as connections are accessible without needing to remove the cage. This cage also has a protective cable lock for teh micro HDMI port, thus protecting the port from sideways forces and impact damage.
The clever open design of the top of the cage leaves the camera hot shoe accessible for use, as well as having an additional accessory shoe for other accessories such as microphones. It is also compatible with the Sony XLR-K2M audio unit and accepts the Shape ALPHAND handle with red push button which is available separately.
Integral with the cage is a Metabones® adapter support bracket. When there is no Metabones® adapter, the ¼-20 screw is captive so you dont have to remove it from the cage and simply slide the bracket from under the cage.
The one-piece design is easy to fit and the camera is fixed with a ¼-20 screw with the threaded hole under it. The position is secured with the back and the sides of the cage so it will not move forward when equipped with a heavier lens. You can also attach a delta adapter plate underneath the cage to mount the cage on a quick release and easily change from a tripod to an handheld setup.
In addition to having access to all camera controls, you also have easy access to the lens release button. The support between the lens and the camera grip is designed to anticipate a clearing for the fingers when the camera is handheld.
The cage features several ¼-20 and 3/8-16 threaded holes for attachments and is made from CNC machined aluminium.
This version of the cage is supplied with aquick release baseplate with standard 15mm rods system. Its easy to install and remove the cage, simply insert the baseplate until it clicks and remove it by press the release button on the side. Also included is a top handle with adjustablepush button technology with 360 degree rotation where you can make adjustments by one press of your thumb. When you release the button, the handle locks in place. Its solid and durable. You can remove the top handle from the cage at any time to reveal a hot shoe adapter for other accessory attachments.

Wooden Camera Zip Box Double for 4x5.65 Filters Compatible with 80-85mm Lenses - (p/n 241600) 96.66 +VAT
Zip Box Double 4x5.65 (80-85mm) holds two 4x5.65 (100x144mm) filters and clamps to the front of lenses between 80 and 85mm in exterior lens diameter. The lens shade design allows for even the widest lenses and sensor sizes to be covered without vignetting. Zip Box is extremely lightweight and weighs about the same as a standard filter which makes it perfect for gimbal and drone use. Stainless steel components and unibody rubber design are very durable and stand up to the toughest conditions.
It is important to note that you should measure based on outside lens diameter and not based on the threaded filter ring size. If you have a smaller lens like that for an E-Mount or MFT camera, you might consider also the Zip Box Adapter Rings (49, 52, 55, 58, 62, 67, 72, 77mm) which adapt smaller threaded lens fronts to the Zip Box Double 4x5.65 (80-85mm).
